Is The Race Over For Pak Suzuki Cultus - Reports Claim



Various reports circulating in the media suggest that Pak Suzuki has decided to put an end to production of its famous car Suzuki Cultus in Pakistan. The news is yet to be confirmed by Pak Suzuki itself but major sources of the auto industry in Pakistani media claims the big news to be true. If the news is true it is a huge news and may be a shocking one as well, especially for the Cultus lovers across the country.

The reason behind discontinuing Cultus is yet to be disclosed by the company but it is said that Pak Suzuki is planning to promote Suzuki Swift as their best product.The company wants its customers to go for the recently launched Suzuki Swift. Dropping of Suzuki Alto's sales may be another reason behind the decision of discontinuing Suzuki Cultus whose sales dropped from 9814 units in March 2022 to 5009 in May 2022.The company may have decided to focus more on Alto and swift rather than focusing on Suzuki Cultus which was hanging in between the prior two vehicles. 

According to Pak wheels, they contacted Suzuki Pakistan regarding the circulation of the news but did not get any reply. Suzuki Cultus is one of the most famous cars available for the segments of middle class and middle-upper class in Pakistan. 

The updated version of Cultus was launched in Pakistan in 2017 with 3 variants including VX, VXR, and VXL. Since the launching of the new Cultus it has dominated the market in the category of 1000 cc cars.

Changan Launched Its New Electric Vehicle 'Shenlan SLO3 EV' In China

Changan launched the latest Electric Vehicle (EV) in China named as Shenlan SLO3 EV. This new vehicle has been jointly developed by Changan New Energy, CATL, and Huawei. Before the new electric vehicle the trio has developed Avatr and Changan Lumin working jointly.  Experts believe this new project of the trio has been focusing mainly to beat Tesla model 3. After the Chongqing Auto Show in China the pre-orders of Shenlan SlO3 had already been started which starts at a price of 179,800 Yuan or PKR 5,600,000. If compared with Tesla model 3, the SLO3 is 106 mm longer in size while it has a 25 mm longer wheelbase.  At first two Changan will release two versions of SL03 with tge first one having 160-KW electric motor while the second one will have 190 kW and also power both axles.
